GSI3D (Geological surveying and investigation in three dimensions) is a methodology and associated software tool for 3D geological modelling which enables you to quickly and intuitively construct 3D solid models of the subsurface for a wide range of applications.
The methodology and software has been developed jointly by the British Geological Survey (BGS) and INSIGHT GmbH between 2006 and 2010 and has since been available through the GSI3D Research Consortium. From April 2014 new licenses will only be available from INSIGHT GmbH and the GSI3D Research Consortium will cease in March 2015.
BGS will continue to develop geological modelling systems and welcomes collaboration from existing consortium members and other parties interested in geological modelling. More details at http://www.bgs.ac.uk/services/3Dgeology/ or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
